The Ducal Palace of Gandia, located in the small city of Gandia in the Spanish region of Valencia, is an important historical site. Built in the early 15th century, the palace was the home of the ruling House of Borgia from 1490 to 1543 and is a magnificent example of late Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture. Today, the palace is open to the public, allowing visitors to marvel at its immense gardens, ornate fountains, and wonderful collections of art, furniture, and sculpture. Visitors can learn about the Spanish royals who lived in the palace and take a moment to imagine what life was like hundreds of years ago. The palace is also home to the Palau Ducal Museum which exhibits artifacts and documents related to the family of Pope Calixto III. Nearby is the Cathedral of Santa Maria, which features an impressive Neo-gothic facade, and the remarkable Seu Vella Church.
