Druskininkai City Museum is one of the oldest open-air museums in Lithuania. Established in 1958, this museum features 19th and 20th century houses and churches from the former townships of Druskininkai, Papile, Inkšničiai, Turgeliškės and their surroundings. The museum is spread over 4 hectares of land, with about 21 buildings and a reconstructed windmill, which is the last remaining windmill of the old Druskininkai. Interesting to see is an old steam-powered sawmill, which was in use until recently, as well as an ethnographic museum located in the old Evangelic Lutheran church. The museum also has an open-air stage where art and folklore festivals are held throughout the summer. The museum collections also include pottery, furniture, and paintings, providing visitors with a vivid insight into the past of the Druskininkai region.
