The DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, located in the Holešovice district of the Czech capital of Prague, is one of the most impressive, modern art galleries in Europe. It was designed by noted architect Jean Nouvel and opened in October 2008. The building has an eye-catching contrast of glass and steel exterior and soaring walls, making it a spectacle to visitors. Inside, visitors have the chance to view a variety of exhibitions ranging from traditional art to modern and avant-garde arts. Events are organized throughout the year, such as screenings, workshops and artist talks, as well as guided tours. There is also a cafe, bookstore, and interactive programs, offering something for everyone. The DOX Centre is free and open to the public, making it a must-visit destination when in Prague.
