The Dos Hermanas are a pair of closely set rocky summits in the Sierra de Codés, rising above Azuelo on the western edge of Navarre near the Álava border. Their twin silhouette gives the landmark its name and stands out sharply against the lower fields and wooded slopes around the village. From different angles the two crags appear to separate or overlap, making their changing profile the defining photographic feature. The exposed rock catches warm, directional light, while wider views place the formations within the transition between the mountains of western Navarre and the open Ebro basin.
