Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) is a must-see destination in Seoul, South Korea. Located in the Dongdaemun district, the plaza houses a range of engaging art exhibitions, galleries, conferences, and cultural experiences. Constructed in the late 2000s, the artistic and avant-garde building has become an icon of South Korea's modern urban renewal projects. When you’re exploring the plaza, you’ll find terraces and viewing platforms with gorgeous views of the city in all directions. During the evening, you can also check out one of the nighttime markets or check out the brilliant light shows that illuminate the tower’s exterior. DDP is also home to several art galleries, the D Museum, and the DDP Mall. The plaza is particularly great for photographers, as the site is illuminated in many different colors at night. You can grab some amazing shots of the plaza’s architecture and the city skyline in the background.
