Devils Tower
📍 From Trail, United States
Devils Tower is a spectacular and unique geological formation located in the Black Hills of northeastern Wyoming. Rising 1,267 feet (386 m) above the Belle Fourche River, it is the first National Monument in the United States, created in 1906 by President Theodore Roosevelt. The unusual volcanic rock formation stands 867 feet (265 m) from its base to the summit, and is surrounded by lush green forests and crystal clear streams. Devils Tower is an impressive sight to behold; visitors can climb the side of the tower using ladders, ropes and metal bars to easily ascend hundreds of feet up its sides. There are also a number of short trails for those who prefer to take the easier route. All of which make it a fantastic place to explore and a great location for photography.
