Dedo de Deus mountain, also known as the Finger of God mountain, is a stunning view-point in the Tijuca National Park in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Its name derives from the way it looks: the mountain looks like a finger pointing to the sky, adorning the horizon with its majestic presence.
The hike to the top of the peak is a 15-mile round trip and takes around 4-5 hours. It is suitable for averagely fit hikers and has some beautiful trails. The views from the top are breathtaking with the surrounding scenery of the city and the Atlantic Ocean. It is especially captivating during sunset as the sky turns pink and orange with the sun setting behind the horizon.
