
Debre Birhan Selassie Church is a 17th century Ethiopian Orthodox church located in Gondar, Ethiopia. It features an impressive collection of frescoes depicting religious scenes as well as religious icons adorning the walls. The church was built by Yohannes I during the reign of Emperor Fasildas of Ethiopia, and is named after the Holy Virgin of Debre Birhan. Inside the church, there are several wooden shelves and cabinets full of ancient manuscripts and books. The iconic mural of the Last Supper is on the walls of the nave. The church preserve many relics and artifacts inside, and it is considered to be one of the most remarkable, and important, churches in Ethiopia with its unique architecture and ancient frescoes.
