De Vlooyenbergtoren is a unique tower located in Tielt-Winge, Belgium. At 39 meters in height, it is the tallest building in the area and offers spectacular views across the surrounding countryside. Inside, the Tower is a maze of rooms, corridors, and passageways with a few surprises still to be discovered. Built in 1847, the mansion was once the home of a wealthy family who owned a lot of land in this corner of Flanders. The tower has been open to the public since 1986 and visitors can climb to the top, where panoramic views stretch across the region. It's worth exploring the many side rooms of the tower, where each room has a unique design and its own story to tell about the life of its owners. The grounds surrounding the tower have also been kept in excellent condition and are ideal for leisurely strolls and picnics.
