De Misthoorn is an archaeological site located in Schokland, the Netherlands. It has a collection of Bronze Age structures, and is the only original Dutch archaeological site on UNESCO's World Heritage list. The De Misthoorn site consists of three mounds, a sand wall, a stone wall, and other remains, dating back to 2000-1000 BC. It is considered a remarkable archaeological find, and scholars believe that it provides insight into the lifestyle and structures of the Bronze Age inhabitants. The site is also an important bird sanctuary and is home to many rare species. It's well worth a visit to learn more about the Bronze Age culture and to appreciate the rare birds that inhabit the vicinity. Visitors enjoy walking through the archaeological remains and observing the wildlife on the shore of the Hansa. The site offers trails for walking, cycling and horse riding. There are also guided tours available for those interested in learning more about the site's history.
