De Basiliek van de Heiligen Agatha en Barbara

The Basilica of Saints Agatha and Barbara in Oudenbosch, Netherlands is one of the oldest churches in the region. Built in the 15th century, the basilica has two towers and is the only remaining part of a larger abbey complex. The church is home to gorgeous works of art, including two impressive Baroque altarpieces from the 17th century. The church also contains many colorful windows and statues from different eras, a crèche and a marble sepulcher of Nicolaas van der Watt (1717). Inside, visitors will find a wall painting depicting the life of apostles Peter and Paul. There is also an organ with 1,229 pipes and 40 registers, making it one of the largest in the world. The architecture of the basilica and its beautiful works of art make it an interesting place to visit.
