Dangar Falls lies on the Bielsdown River, about two kilometres north of Dorrigo in northern New South Wales. The river drops roughly 30 metres over a basalt cliff into a broad pool, exposing the volcanic rock characteristic of the Dorrigo Plateau. The lookout near the top gives an elevated view into the vegetation-lined basin, where white falling water contrasts with dark rock and green foliage. Set amid the farmland around town, the falls are distinct from the rainforest waterfalls within nearby Dorrigo National Park.
