Dafne Schippers Bridge
📍 Netherlands
The Dafne Schippers Bridge, in Utrecht, Netherlands, is an impressive cable-stayed bridge that provides a connection between the Neude Square, in the heart of the city, and the university campus to the north. The bridge, designed by Dutch engineering firm Arcadis, is named after Dafne Schippers, the famous Dutch athlete and two-time World Championships gold medalist.

The bridge crosses the Vecht River, offering stunning views of the river and the city, which can be admired from the bridge's deck. Bicycle and pedestrians can access the deck and the riverbanks, while the lower parts are only accessible to cyclists. The bridge itself is particularly eye-catching, with a sleek curved steel bridge deck, lighting towers, and radial pylons.
