📍 United States
Crystal Reservoir, also known as Crystal Creek Reservoir, lies above Cascade-Chipita Park on the north slope of Pikes Peak, beside the Pikes Peak Highway west of Colorado Springs. This man-made lake forms part of the mountain’s reservoir system and places the broad face of Pikes Peak directly beyond the water. Its recognizable view combines a low dam, evergreen-covered slopes, exposed granite and the summit rising above the basin; in calm conditions, the mountain and passing clouds reflect across the surface. Access follows the operating conditions of the Pikes Peak Highway and North Slope Recreation Area, so seasonal closures and entry requirements should be checked before visiting.
