Cruise Pier Trieste is a historic waterfront located in the Italian city of Trieste. It is the most popular spot for cruise ships arriving and leaving the city, with its large and impressive buildings and quays. The area is filled with many interesting landmarks as well as cafés, bars and restaurants. Some of the highlights include the Barcola, a stone tower-like structure that was part of the defense system of the old city, and the Faro della Vittoria, a lighthouse built in the 1930s to celebrate the victory of the Italian fleet in the First World War battle of Vis Island. There are also numerous seafront monuments and interesting sculptures.
