Crkva Svetog Duha, the Church of the Holy Spirit, stands within Kotor’s compact walled Old Town, among the stone lanes and historic buildings that express the city’s Adriatic character. Built in the late 17th century, it has a restrained Baroque façade of pale local stone, with a simple portal and circular window providing balanced architectural details. The former church is now used as a concert hall associated with Kotor’s music school, giving the intimate interior a continuing cultural role. Its façade is best understood in relation to the close-set masonry and narrow urban spaces around it.
