📍 From Mississippi River Trail, United States
The Crescent City Connection Bridge spans the Mississippi River in New Orleans, Louisiana providing access to areas on the east bank for cars, buses, and pedestrians. This bridge was built in the late 1950's to replace the Algiers-Canal Street Ferry. The bridge has two levels with the middle section of span towering 200 feet and visible from miles away. It easily provides the best view of the New Orleans skyline and the Mississippi River. You can catch some of the best views of the colorful city skyline at night or during the day when the sun is setting. The Crescent City Connection Bridge gives a great insight into the amazing river and modernity of New Orleans.
