Crab Island is a small rocky islet off Nong Thale on Krabi’s Andaman coast, within a seascape shaped by forested headlands and scattered offshore formations. Its compact silhouette gives scale to the broad water and makes a distinctive focal point from the shoreline or a passing boat. Photographs often gain depth from layering the islet against distant limestone landforms, while changing cloud cover and the sea’s blue-green tones alter the mood of the scene. Local long-tail boats can add a recognizable element of coastal Krabi life.
