
Coyoacán Centro is a historic district in the Mexican capital Ciudad de México. The rich cultural heritage of the area is evident in the stunningly preserved colonial architecture, abundant parks and public spaces, and vibrant art galleries and museums. It is home to the birthplace and former home of Frida Kahlo, which is now a museum dedicated to her life and art. Other nearby attractions include the Parroquia de San Juan Bautista, a sixteenth-century parish church containing the oldest remaining example of Mexican Baroque architecture, and the grounds of the former Hacienda San Jacinto, a large eighteenth-century estate. Coyoacán Centro is also known for its wonderful selection of cafes, restaurants, and boutiques.
