The Cordillera del Paine rises above the Pudeto sector of Torres del Paine National Park, near the turquoise waters of Lake Pehoé. This compact mountain massif is recognizable by the pale granite towers and sharply sculpted Cuernos del Paine, whose dark sedimentary caps create striking bands across the summits. From the open terrain around Pudeto, the range appears with little foreground obstruction, emphasizing its scale above the Patagonian steppe and glacial lakes. Wind-driven clouds and rapidly shifting light often isolate individual peaks, while the blue-green water, golden grasses, and snow-streaked rock form the scene’s characteristic palette.
