Cordes-sur-Ciel is a beautiful medieval village located in the Tarn region of central France. Situated atop a rocky outcrop, it was founded in 1222 by the Count of Toulouse. Grand Rue Raimond VII is the main street of this hilltop town that curves its way around the hillside and is lined with delightful cobbled lanes and half-timbered homes. The houses and lanes create a wonderfully atmospheric atmosphere, with piles of stone and timber all vying for attention. Take a wander down the street, and you'll find an eclectic range of artisan shops, including a traditional french boulangerie, lively pubs and galleries.
