Commercial Court is a stone building in the city centre of Belfast, Northern Ireland. It was built in the late 1880s and is part of the surrounding Cultural Quarter of Belfast. This building is one of the most notable landmarks in the city, with many of its features being part of the city’s heritage. The building stands at five storeys tall and is a fantastic example of 19th century Gothic architecture. During the troubles the building was a key part of the inner city defences and was known as the 'Gateway to the City' as it was the first and last building that anyone coming in and out of the city had to pass through. It is now open to the public to explore and view the stunning stonework inside and out. The court remains a favourite amongst both locals and tourists alike due to its unique history and architecture.
