Colosseo

The Colosseo in Roma, Italy, is a massive marvel of Roman architecture, and one of the city's most iconic attractions. Also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, it was originally built in the first century AD to house gladiator fights, ferocious animal spectacles, and large-scale performances. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a reminder of Rome’s former grandeur. The Colosseo still stands proudly in the centre of Rome, and its distinctive elliptical shape is emblematic of the city itself. Climb up to the upper tiers and get panoramic views of its surrounding area, wander under its majestic arches, or just admire its majestic structure from afar. When visiting, admire the quaint Roman brickwork and intricate decorations, at least a part of which likely remain from the Colosseo’s past.
