
Loosdrecht is a small Dutch village known for its colorful houses, situated on the Zuiderzeese and seven small lakes. The lively center of the village is a great place to walk around, shop and eat. Nearby, you can see some of the most beautiful Dutch landscapes, such as the impressive Weerijs landscape reserve, with its 200 year old farmhouses. The colorful houses are in the northern part of Loosdrecht, along the water and dike. Take your time to savor the Dutch tranquillity and the images of nature and architecture. You can rent a boat or kayak to enjoy the village further. The area is also great for cycling, walking and enjoying the views. There are several attractions to visit in the small village, such as the classic sailing ship, the Zoontjens Mill, or the many museums and galleries. Loosdrecht is also known as the 'Venice of the Netherlands' and is a great destination for photography.
