
The Colonna dell'Immacolata is a round marble column located in Bologna, Italy. Dating back to the mid-19th century, the monument stands at an incredible height of 46 metres and is adorned with seven bronze statues of saints and blessed mother Mary at the top. Built in honour of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, it stands as a symbol of both faith and strength. A winding spiral staircase within the column allows visitors to climb up for a 360-degree panoramic view of the beautiful city. The interior of the column is decorated with striking frescoes that depict the story of Mary’s life.
