📍 From Amsterdam Bridge, Canada
The CN Tower rises 553.3 metres above downtown Toronto, beside the Rogers Centre and railway corridor near Lake Ontario. Completed in 1976 as a communications tower for Canadian National, it became the defining vertical landmark of the city and held the title of the world’s tallest freestanding structure for more than three decades. Its tapering concrete shaft, circular observation levels and long antenna create a silhouette visible across the waterfront and skyline. From the observation decks, the city’s street grid, Toronto Islands and lake form broad geometric views; from ground level, nearby plazas emphasize the tower’s immense scale. Ticketed experiences include observation levels, a glass floor and the seasonal EdgeWalk around the exterior of the main pod.
