Cleveland Dam is a stunning hydroelectric dam located in North Vancouver, Canada. The dam was built in 1954, and it’s a beautiful example of engineering that creates a spectacular view. The dam sits atop of Capilano River, which provides gorgeous scenic views for both visitors and photographers alike. You can walk along the dam to follow the Capilano River and views of the slopes of the North Shore Mountains. You’ll also find a fish hatchery located right next to the dam, where you can watch the abundance of fish swimming. The area around the dam also houses many trails, including the Cleveland Dam Viewpoint Trail, a moderate 0.7 km trail with beautiful views of the dam and the Capilano River. An early start can give you the opportunity to see the iconic dam covered in fog, with the sunrise peeking through the trees.
