Bihać, Bosnia and Herzegovina is a magnificent place with spectacular city scapes and winding rivers. The Una River serves as a backdrop for the cityscape with its stunning shades of blue and white. The Una has a colourful history and is the youngest of Bosnia’s three rivers, turquoise for most of the year and offers stunning views of the towns and villages along its shores. From Bihać, visitors can explore fishing villages, ancient sites, Bosnian villages and Turkish castles. Great places to visit include the old fortress and Stari Most, or Old Bridge, in the nearby town of Mostar. Mujcin Mosque and Janjevo are also must-sees. The local markets offer delicious local dishes and the shops are filled with souvenirs and handcrafted items.
