The City Hall in Stockholm, Sweden, is a stunning building located in the historic area of Gamla Stan. The building was designed in a Brick Expressionist style and features a grandiose ceremonial hall. It was first opened in 1923 and its election hall is used to signal the start of a new parliament period. Other notable features at City Hall include the Golden Hall, an impressive chamber with over 18 million pieces of mosaic artwork. It is also home to three of Sweden's Nobel Prize banquet halls. The building is open to visitors, where you can take a guided tour or explore its many cultural exhibitions. From outdoor views of the building, to its stunningly ornate interiors, City Hall is one of Stockholm’s most beautiful, iconic structures.
