Cité administrative is a landmark complex located in the city of Lille, France. The main building was completed in the mid-1980s, and serves as the office for the city government. The complex also includes a municipal library, a conference center, a concert hall and a vast, modern residential building. Its design is inspired by the Hausmannian style, featuring a densely-arranged urban layout. Its architectural elements include the use of angular structures, alternating building blocks, glass facades and more. Its vast public space is divided into several parts, namely palm-tree lined gardens, an outdoor plaza, and a performance platform next to the concert hall. Visitors can enjoy the natural peace, or relax in one of the restaurants at the complex. Photography is common in the surroundings, with many interesting angles to capture the unique architecture.
