The Church of the Nativity, located in Bethlehem, is one of the most revered sites in Christianity, believed to be the birthplace of Jesus Christ. This ancient church holds immense religious and historical significance, attracting pilgrims and tourists from around the world. Originally commissioned in 327 AD by Constantine the Great and his mother Helena, the church stands as one of the oldest continuously operating churches in the world.

Architecturally, the Church of the Nativity features a basilica design, with its current structure dating back to the 6th century under Emperor Justinian. Notable features include the low entrance known as the "Door of Humility," intended to prevent looters on horseback in the past, and the beautiful mosaic floors from the original Constantinian church, visible through trapdoors in the nave. The Grotto of the Nativity, a cave beneath the church, is marked by a 14-point silver star, denoting the traditional spot of Jesus' birth. The church is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is shared by three Christian denominations: the Greek Orthodox, the Armenian Apostolic, and the Roman Catholic churches. Visitors should be aware of the church's religious significance and respect the customs and practices observed within. The site is particularly vibrant during Christmas, offering unique services and celebrations reflective of its profound spiritual legacy.
