📍 Italy
The Church of the Most Holy Joseph and Ignatius or the Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola is an 18th-century Roman Catholic church set in Bologna, Italy. Built in classic Baroque style, the interior of the church is one of the grandest in the city and displays a wealth of art and sculptures. The Del Secco brothers were two of the major artists representing Baroque art whose works are on display.

The façade of the church is plain and the roof is topped with a cupola. The interiors are lavishly decorated with a profusion of art and sculptures including works of the Del Secco brothers. The main altar is one of the city’s most exquisite, and the church contains two tombs from the 18th century, both considered important works of art. In the adjoining chapel there is an impressive marble bas-relief, and the ceiling painting is by Sebastiano Ceccarini. The Church of the Most Holy Joseph and Ignatius is one of the most impressive churches in Bologna. Its extravagantly decorated interiors are certainly worth visiting, and the works of art and sculptures on display throughout the building are definitely worth seeing.
