Church of the Ascension is a magnificent ancient structure located in the heart of the Russian capital city. The church is located in Zamoskvorechye district, near Bolotnaya Square in Moskva, Russia. Dating back to the 15th century, this beautiful landmark is a symbol of great architecture and artistry. Constructed in the popular late 14th century style, the church features a low-rise traditional segmented turreted composition with five unique cupolas. The exterior is finished with white stucco and is decorated with tiny stained-glass windows with Trinity motifs. The interior of the church is decorated with multicolored frescoes and icons. A two-story gallery with intricately carved pilasters adorns the hall of the church. The lower floor of the church houses parish chapels, a baptistery and several chapels with their own shrines dedicated to various saint icons. Visitors are welcome to the church for religious events, exploration of the inside and the grounds.
