📍 Belarus
The Church of Saints Simon and Helena, also known as the Red Church, is an iconic neo-Romanesque building located in the center of Minsk, Belarus. Built between 1905 and 1910, it stands out for its striking red brick facade and twin towers. Designed by Polish architects Tomasz Pajzderski and Władysław Marconi, the church was funded by nobleman Edward Wojniłłowicz in memory of his deceased children, Simon and Helena. Inside, you'll find beautiful stained glass windows and ornate altars worth capturing. Positioned near Independence Square, the church is ideally situated for urban photography, providing a dramatic contrast to Soviet-era architecture surroundings. Early mornings offer softer natural light for exterior shots.
