The Church of Saint-Pierre is one of the most important cultural and historical monuments in Caen, France. Built in the 12th century by William the Conqueror and extended in the 13th century, the building is made up of two churches: a Romanesque nave and a Gothic choir. Today, the building is a stunning example of Norman architecture. Inside you can find beautiful stonework adorning the walls and ceiling, as well as stained glass windows and colorful paintings. While the church is open for public worship, visitors are also welcome to explore the building's beauty. Visitors should also note the presence of a memorial to those who died in World War II, located in the square outside the church.
