The Church of Our Lady in Brugge features the world's second tallest brickwork tower, standing at 115.5 meters. Renowned for Michelangelo's white marble sculpture, Madonna and Child, it’s one of the few of his works to have left Italy. Inside, admire the intriguing mix of Gothic and Baroque styles, with frescoes dating back to the 13th century. Less obvious yet equally captivating are the twin illuminated tomb monuments of Charles the Bold and his daughter, Duchess Mary, located near the choir area. For the best photos, focus on the stained glass windows that create dramatic light play on sunny days, especially during late morning. Visit early to avoid crowds and capture serene shots of the majestic interiors.
