The Church of Our Lady before Týn is a powerful and impressive Gothic church situated in the heart of the medieval Old Town of Prague, Czech Republic. Its exterior is full of intricate stone carvings and intricate ribbed vaults, as well as two asymmetrical steeples. Inside, the highlight is the huge Gothic altarpiece. It is full of nuances, with columns and sculptures depicting the Passion of Christ. Visitors can also find frescoes, a large organ, and various stained glass windows. Also of interest is the Astronomical Clock on the southern facade, a medieval masterpiece which dates to 1410. During the day the church is open to the public and provides a beautiful insight into the history of the city.
