Chùa Mỹ Khê is an ancient pagoda, situated just outside the city of Da Nang in the Son Tra peninsula in Vietnam. While rising out of the lush green coastal landscape of the area, visitors will be astounded by the impressive sight of this series of gigantic statues, shrines, and temples. The main statue found here is of the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion Guanyin sitting high up in a tower, overlooking the sea rising up in the background. Inside the complex grounds, tourists will also find five unique terraces, each with its own unique story. While exploring these terraces, take time to admire the intricate and delicate decorations that embody both Buddhist and Hindu mythology. The complex is both inspiring and serene, and is especially worth visiting for its spectacular views and stunningly lit interior in the evening.
