Christ Church Hall is a part of Oxford University, serving as both a place of study and of accommodation for its students. The Hall dates back to the 16th century and has medieval architecture, historical artifacts, and several gardens. It is an historic building with excellent 19th century stained glass windows and a graceful hall. Visitors can take a tour of the Hall and explore its mead court, extensive library and various other rooms. Other highlights include a chapel and a 15th century cloister. Moreover, the Hall's collection of illuminated manuscripts, including The Gospels of Henry VIII, is a must-see. Admission to Christ Church Hall is free but only undergraduate students of the University have the privilege of using the Hall's library and gardens.
