📍 From Jardín Santos Degollado, Mexico
The beautiful Jardín Santos Degollado is a gem in the heart of Mexico City. Located in downtown Ciudad de México, the garden was built in 1921 to commemorate José María Santos Degollado, a war hero and former governor. It is filled with green spaces, bright flowers, and several monuments and fountains. The main entrance is framed by two statues of Minerva and Flora, goddesses of music and flowers, respectively. You can also find two fountains, one dedicated to Juárez and another to Santos Degollado. The grand Guanajuato fountain is considered the most impressive in the park, designed with multiple fountains, cascades, and sculpted figures. Onsite, photographers will also find a selection of exotic trees, including red pines, Japanese cherry trees, cypress, and jacarandas – creating a wonderful and unique atmosphere.
