Chillon Castle is one of the most visited castles in Switzerland, located in the town of Veytaux, on the shore of Lake Geneva. It is a well-preserved medieval castle that still contains many of the original furnishings and artworks. The exterior of the castle consists of multiple towers and walls, which are open for visitors to explore. Inside, visitors can explore secret hallways, ramparts, and chambers filled with furniture from centuries past. There is also an area of the castle housing an archaeology museum, featuring ancient artifacts such as pottery and jewelry from the region. With its stunning views of the lake and Alps, it is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. The castle can be easily accessed by public transport from nearby Montreux.
