Chiesa parrocchiale e Torre is a beautiful church and tower located in Castelrotto, Italy. The church, originally built in 1596, has an ornate Baroque façade, with eye-catching frescoes and polychrome marble decorations. Inside, an 18th-century fresco of the Deposition of Christ steals the show. The smaller, adjoining tower is from the 14th century. It was originally used as a watchtower to protect the village from invaders and still stands today as a symbol of Castelrotto’s resilience. It was also the home of the local fire brigade, who would use the building to sound out warnings. The iconic tower is also used as a backdrop for a variety of events, from town holidays to classical music concerts.
