Chiesa Madre del Sacro Cuore is the principal parish church of Santa Cesarea Terme, the small thermal town on the Adriatic coast in the province of Lecce, Apulia. Its presence anchors the town's compact center amid the late‑19th/early‑20th‑century spa architecture for which Santa Cesarea is known, giving photographers a cultural counterpoint to the ornate villas and cliffside sea views. Visually, the church frames narrow stone streets and village piazzas, often lit from the west in late afternoon, creating strong shadows and warm highlights on masonry; its bell tower and façade provide vertical structure against glimpses of the gulf. As an active parish, it follows the rhythm of local services and community events.
