The Chiesa di San Pietro is a stunning Baroque church located in Modica, Italy. Built in 1712, the church features a tall bell tower, two grandiose interior courtyards, and two enormous frescoed facades. Upon entering, visitors will be struck by its grandiose interior. Large frescoes, ornately decorated with scenes from the Bible, decorate the walls and ceiling. Light streams in from the large picture windows, giving the place an ethereal atmosphere. Several impressive Baroque sculptures dot the columns of the nave. Visitors can also explore the courtyards and towers for a peek at some of Modica's lesser-known architectural gems.
