Chiesa di San Giovanni Crisostomo is a breathtaking display of Venetian Baroque style architecture. Built around 1650, this stunning church sits in the heart of Cannaregio, one of Venice's oldest districts. The façade is decorated with a hypostyle portico, finished with ornate pilasters and two hipped bell towers on either side. Inside, the church features beamed ceilings and stained glass windows, while the lady altar is framed with an impressive marble décor. Restored to its original glory in the early 20th century, the church has been a religious centre ever since. Visitors are welcome to take in its beautiful exterior, or explore the interior and take in the peace and quiet.
