Chiesa di San Giacomo Apostolo stands on Via Mezzaterra in Feltre’s historic centre, in Veneto’s Belluno province. Dedicated to Saint James the Apostle, it belongs to the religious fabric of a hilltop town shaped by centuries of Venetian influence. Much of the surrounding old town was rebuilt after the devastation of 1510, giving Feltre its distinctive Renaissance character. The narrow street places the church within a close-set sequence of façades, so views along Via Mezzaterra reveal its relationship to the town’s compact architecture rather than presenting it as an isolated monument.
