The Chevron Sculpture in Chicago is a large geometric sculpture created by the late artist Richard Lippold. Located on public land from the 50th floor of the Aon Center, it's an iconic piece of public art that has become an attraction of its own. Constructed in 1974 and made of hundreds of copper rods, the sculpture stands 291 feet tall and spans more than 227 feet. Visitors can admire the sculpture up close, as it's located close to a number of public areas and landmarks throughout the city, including the Chicago Riverwalk, Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, and Grant Park.
