Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte garden in Maincy, France is a gorgeous French landscape garden dreamt up by landscape architect, André Le Nôtre in the 17th century. Spread out over 35 hectares (86 acres) it's an astonishing example of French architecture and the country's original rural gardens. This grand château is a magnificent neoclassical creation, featuring turf mounds, stylishly clipped hedges, tranquil ponds, fountains and water cascades, as well as twelve flowerbeds that depict the months of the year. A mix of statues, vases, sculptures, and rustic cabins further adorn the grounds of the château, following the ideas of André Le Nôtre, making it a destination well-worth the visit.
