Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant, also known as Sleeping Beauty Castle, is a 19th-century French-style castle located in the village of Chessy, just outside of Paris, France. Constructed in 1932, the neo-Gothic castle is the centerpiece of the theme park Disneyland Paris, which it was built for. The castle is surrounded by its own moat and overlooks Fantasyland, where visitors can partake in various themed rides and attractions. Inside the castle is an intricate stained-glass window featuring a whole host of characters from the Disney animated classic, Sleeping Beauty, as well as a tapestry depicting the whole film in exquisite detail. Visitors can see the interior of the castle, take pictures of its facade, or get a bird’s eye view of the park with a stroll around the action-packed square.
