
Château de Fontainebleau is a royal palace located in Fontainebleau, France. It was built in the 12th century as a hunting lodge and has since evolved into one of France's grandest palaces. The palace is situated in the forest of Fontainebleau and is surrounded by a large park, complete with landscaped lawns and gardens. Today, the palace houses a beautiful collection of furniture, paintings, sculptures and historical artifacts from all over Europe. Visitors can explore a variety of rooms such as the formal Grand Gallery, the Louis XIII Room, and the nearby Chapel of Saint-Saturnin. Guided tours of the palace and park are available every day. The park is also an idyllic place for some tranquil walks and bird watching.
